Last night I saw the latest episode of the Frei Files which is a famous hungarian documentary show of Tamas Frei. In this one-hour show we had the opportunity to take a look around in Bahrein, one of the richest country in the world. Unfortunately it was like an advertising campaign to convince the hungarians - especially the young - to leave their country and be a slave in an other. It was quite hard to see that some girls and guys almost deny their nationality because of some amount of money. As my grandma used to say: It is easy to be hungarian in the U.S. or Australia. All immigrants come home and see our hungarian problems! This was my first reaction after the show which is about the oil prices and the progressing of the arabic world especially Bahrein. Before we start to analyze the whole show, it s important to know that Tamas Frei was a filmmaker of an other TV channel few years ago, but he made a very tragic mistake. After one show it showed up that all the people in his documentary show were actors. Is it disgusting, am I right? This is a good advertise for a documentary filmmaker, isn t it?
Despite of all my worries it was a very interesting show but I can t agree with Frei in some issues. For example, it s quite obvious that Bahrein and the same oil-countries has no long-term future. Why not? Because of the balance of rich and poor in the world and the G8 s addiction of oil. In this small oil-countries all the handworkers are from Banglades, China, India etc. and because of that, Bahrein has a big need of human power. But how come it will be when not 250.000 workers are coming but 1 million? Who will protect this country? There are few haves and there are many poors around the world but maybe this is a problem which can be controlled by power. But unfortunately the gas price a very hard question in the industrialized countries and I don t think so that a powerful goverment let itself to fail because of the lack of oil. In this century we will see many and many wars because of oil (like now in Iraq) and in such a war Bahrein has no chance to survive with his 750.000 inhabitants.
